Docking Stations
A docking station can give you extra connectivity & act as a central hub for all your devices and displays, plus, it might allow you to carry a leaner laptop, with fewer ports.

If you are looking for your docking station to power your laptop, look out for a dock with USB PD, where PD stands for Power Delivery.
Monitors
Always think about the size of the monitor you need for your workspace. A 24-inch monitor is a good starting point for most people.
Resolution is also important. For general use, 1080p (Full HD) or 1440p (Quad HD) is sufficient.
Ensure the monitor has the right ports for your devices, such as HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-A, and USB-C.

“P” = Professional - prioritize productivity features such as adjustable stands, connectivity options, and energy efficiency & will likely still have a VGA port
”U”= Ultrasharp - which are known for their high-resolution displays and color accuracy, used by professionals in fields such as design and photography.

For Apple macOS, any monitor that supports HDMI or USB-C adaptor cable should be sufficient.
