Enabling DHCP on your Ubuntu Computer


Your machine must have DHCP enabled to work with our network.


  1. From the desktop, click on the drop-down situated at the top right of the screen.
  2. Select the settings icon (usually a wrench or gear/cog)
  3. Select 'Network' from the left hand list
  4. Under the 'wired' connection header click the gear/cog
  5. Select the IPV4 tab
  6. Select the Automatic DHCP radio button, ensure that the DNS and Routes buttons are also set to Auto
  7. Apply
