How to move data from Druva to UIS OneDrive

This guide is intended for Druva users who want to migrate their data to UIS OneDrive so that it works more readily with thetheir University O365 set up.

Important: Before you begin the data restoration process, sign into the OneDrive application with the Raven credentials.

What is Druva?

  • Druva inSync is a laptop / mobile device backup product that backs your files up from any internet connection, anywhere. Once installed on your device it monitors files for changes before compressing, encrypting and sending the data to our servers.

How do I Move my files from Druva to UIS OneDrive?

  • Follow the below steps to move Druva data to UIS OneDrive.

For Windows Devices & Mac Devices

Step 1:

  • Open Druva Insync application installed on your MacOS/Windows devices and select the Backup & Restore option.

Step 2:

  • Select the device to be restored on the left pane and the backup folders on that device on the right pane. Click on the Restore option to choose the location to copy the files.

 

Step 3:

  • Click on the Change option to select the destination folder. Make sure to restore the data to a OneDrive managed folder.

If you have more than one device backup to restore, create a folder inside the OneDrive folder for each device to identify the backup after the restore process.

Step 4:

  • Once the location is selected , Click on Confirm Restore option. Once the restore process has begun, you will see a status notification in the right-bottom corner of the application shows the progress.
