Adding calendars from address book in Outlook (New) - Windows

Introduction

This guide is for users who have been given access to a colleague's calendar and now wish to view it through the Outlook (New) application on a Windows computer.

Requirements

You must be signed in to your medschl account and have configured Outlook before you can use this guide.

You will need to have been granted permission to access the other calendar. The CSCS Service Desk can help with this if it is a medschl mailbox.

These instructions apply to Outlook (New) and Webmail.

Instructions

  1. Open your Outlook (New) application

  2. Navigate to the calendar pane and select "Add calendar"

  3. Click on the "Add from directory" option and choose your email address from the drop down menu

  4. Type out the email address for the required calendar

  5. Select the folder that you would like this calendar to be stored under then select "Add"

You will not have access if the calendar has not been shared with you or the permissions have not been set.
