Introduction

Computers that are not being moved to CSCS support which were joined to the MRC Hutch domain will need to be moved to a workgroup before the old domain is retired.

Requirements

You need to be logged on to the computer with administrator rights.

These instructions are for Windows 10 computers.

Instructions

• In the search bar, type workgroup
• in the search results matches displayed, choose Change workgroup name

• you may be prompted by Do you want to allow thi sapp to make changes to your device. If you are, choose Yes

• Beside To rename this computer or change its domain or workgroup, click Change click the Change button
• Choose the Workgroup radio button and type in Workgroup

• A few seconds later you will see a pop up welcoming you to the new workgroup. Click OK
• You will then be asked to restart the computer. Click OK and restart the computer
