If we are taking your computer away to be reinstalled, then you should let us know if you need a Loan computer while we work on it. See Requesting & Using a Loan Computer /wiki/spaces/SSTM/pages/21365346 for more details of what we can offer. If we are reinstalling your computer overnight at your desk, you will not need a loan computer.

- Make a note of the application and version
- If a different version of Windows and/or Office is being installed you must ensure your software is compatible and purchase a new version if required. (See this page Software Versions - Availability and Compatibility)
- Ensure that you have a licence key, if required. If you purchased the software from Software Distribution then see Retrieving Licence Keys and Installers from Software Sales.
- Ensure that you have access an installer. Many applications are available in the CSCS software library, or can be installed on request by our Service Desk - see Windows Application Availability and CompatabilityCompatibility. If we do not have it then you can try browsing your old orders at UIS Software Sales.
